Breaking ground on Phoenix House, Cayman's first women's recovery residence in a decade

On 18 September, The Bridge Foundation broke ground on Phoenix House: two transitional homes for women in recovery from addiction, on land we own on Hell Road, West Bay. The Caymanian Journal has covered the story in full.

Since our last women's home closed in 2016, women leaving treatment in Cayman have had few safe housing options. Phoenix House will provide the structured, supportive next step that helps recovery last. Because we own the site, these homes will be a permanent part of Cayman's continuum of care.

Our sincere thanks to the Haugh family for gifting the land, to our anchor funders and anonymous donors, and to all who supported the Green Tie Gala. Thank you too to Governor Jane Owen, Minister Nickolas DaCosta MP and Parliamentary Secretary Wayne Panton MP for joining us.

Construction is now under way. Our next challenge is securing the operating funds to run the homes. If you or your organisation would like to help, we'd love to talk.
