one life at a time
The Bridge Foundation is a transitional housing environment in the Cayman Islands. We originated from the National security council‘s crime reduction strategy. We are here to help reduce the recidivism rate throughout our islands with the operation of our supervised residential halfway house for men in West Bay. We work with individuals to help them obtain a lifestyle free from alcohol and drugs through structure and accountibility.

REST IN PEACE
We pay heartfelt homage to the Banker family for their belief in our mission to support and empower recovering addicts and alcoholics since 2011. The Banker family has been lending steadfast support and dedication, and we are truly grateful for their commitment. In particular, we offer our deepest condolences to the family for the passing of Gregory Banker - a beloved brother, father, husband and friend of our program. Gregory's legacy will live on in our hearts and the work we continue to do, inspired by his unwavering spirit and dedication to our mission.
We are excited to announce that cabinet approved reinstatement of The Bridge funding for 2023. Heartfelt appreciation goes out to the 19 civil servants from the Ministries of Home Affairs and Health and Wellness who attended the January 13 meeting held at our campus. Because of their advocacy for our program, government was persuaded to reverse an earlier decision regarding our grant. Our services continue uninterrupted - providing transitional housing to repeat offenders with underlying substance abuse issues in an effort to reduce recidivism.
WOMEN'S FACILITY UPDATE
Maybe a different approach to housing female clients! The Bridge Board is in the process of preparing a proposal to a donor who may be interested in purchasing the vacant land adjacent to the men's halfway house and, in addition, constructing two tiny homes for recovering women and their families.
